About Bega

The Bega River is one of the symbols of the Banat, which springs from the quiet forests of the Poiana Ruscă Mountains and meanders through the hills and low plains of Lugoj until it enters Timișoara, from where it becomes navigable and flows linearly between the locks to flow into the Tisa at the bend below the hill the fortress of Titel, in Serbia.
Bega is the silent witness of the history of Banat and may once again become one of the identity and visionary elements of the region.
